Linda A. Stewart, 64, of Monmouth, IL, passed away at 2:37 p.m., Sunday, November 27, 2022 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria, IL. 

She was born on September 14, 1958 in Hillsboro, IL, the daughter of Norman and Carrie (Moxey) Hill.  Linda was raised and educated in the Monmouth area and graduated from Warren High School in 1976.  She received her Associates Degree from Carl Sandburg College, her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Western Illinois University, and her LPN from Carl Sandburg College.

Linda married Dean Stewart, they later divorced.

Linda was a case manager for many years at KCCDD in Galesburg.  She later worked as an LPN at several area nursing homes and flu shot clinics.  Linda loved to garden and share her knowledge of gardening with others.  She loved to be outdoors.  Most of all, Linda loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Surviving Linda are her children, Michael (Tia) Stewart of Monmouth, IL, Barry Stewart of Monmouth, IL, Jena (Nate) Phillips of Monmouth, IL; her grandchildren, Bryce Stewart, Riley Stewart, Emersyn Phillips, Paxton Phillips, Lucille Phillips; her mother, Carrie Hill of Vandalia, IL; two brothers, Terry Robert (Kate) Hill of Coppell, TX, Aron (Pam) Hill of Hilliard, OH; and one sister, Amy Hill of Plano, TX.  Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her father, Norman Hill. 

A Gathering of Family & Friends will be from 4:00-6:00 p.m., Sunday, December 4, 2022 at McGuire & Davies Funeral Home.  Cremation rites will be accorded.  Memorials can be made to Warren Achievement Center in Monmouth.  McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL, is in charge of the arrangements.  For more information or to leave an online condolence please visit, www.mcguireanddaviesfuneralhome.com
