The regular season has officially wrapped up for the United boys basketball team. Since last Friday, the Red Storm have played in 4 games in one week to end their Lincoln Trail Conference play, with several of those contests being games that were rescheduled due to weather postponements back in January. United went 1-3 during the stretch, with losses to Stark County last Friday, Abingdon/Avon on Monday, and Mercer County last night, however they would pick up a nice win on Tuesday for senior night, beating the ROWVA/Williamsfield Cougars in an exciting 74-71 battle. All told the Red Storm will head in to regional play on Monday with a 16-15 mark overall under first year head coach Jason Lancaster. United was designated the 11 seed in the ROWVA/Williamsfield regional, and they will play their regional quarterfinal matchup in Toulon against the 5 seed Stark County. Speaking on the WRAM Morning Show on Thursday, Coach Lancaster discussed what United needs to do on Monday to upset the Rebels and make it into the quarterfinals.

United’s regional quarterfinal matchup with Stark County will tip-off on Monday night at 6:00 from Stark County High School. For the full interview with Coach Lancaster, visit the Sports Podcast section.
