Three decisions on the new Warren County Law Enforcement Center need to be made by the Warren County Board, reports Buildings and Grounds Chair Sean Cavanaugh:

“We need to make a near final decision on the size of the jail. There are three sizes to consider. There is a 60-bed facility, which was recommended by the Citizens Advisory Committee, and there is a 52-bed facility, and a 40-bed facility. We also have to pass an ordinance authorizing the issuance of general obligation bonds. That has to be passed to make it officially legal that we can issue those bonds, and we have considerable time from when we pass that ordinance to when we actually have to do the purchasing of the bonds. The other item that we are going to be voting on is having a notice of a public hearing for a date in the future, which will allow individuals to come and make comments in regard to the jail project.”

The Warren County Board will meet this Wednesday, October 23rd at 7 pm to vote of these decisions regarding the Law Enforcement Center.
