SUMMARY:Shapes of a Premonition Art Display
DESCRIPTION:Monica Rezman uses painting\, drawing\, sculpture\, photography and textiles to explore intimacy through the representation of hair and everyday materials such as cardboard. She studied fine art and textile design at the Art Institute of Chicago\, the Institute Allende in Mexico\, classical drawing and painting in Italy and The School of Representational Art in Chicago. Rezman’s work has been exhibited nationally and internationally. Rezman’s work is on display at now through November 13th at the Borzello Gallery Ford Center for the Fine Arts at Knox College Monday thru Friday from 12-5pm.

DESCRIPTION:Carine Brown was born and raised in Singapore\, and moved to Illinois in 1997. Nature and color have always fascinated her\, and she uses watercolor as a medium in a slightly impressionistic fashion. Some of her pieces also include collage which gives a new dimension to her work. Her subject matter varies and includes landscapes\, people\, birds\, bamboos\, flowers and abstracts. Brown’s work is on view in the James Keefe gallery November 5-December 31 and is also available in the BCA Gift Shop.

DESCRIPTION:This exhibit is an annual tradition showcasing the work of our region’s amateur photographers. Although we aren’t able to host an in-person opening reception\, the Buchanan Center posted the awards announcement on Facebook and our website from juror Trent Foltz\, as well as a video from our sponsor\, Security Savings Bank President Brad Ray\, who shared the people’s choice awards. The Buchanan Center for the Arts requires masks to be worn in the gallery at all times and there is plenty of space to accommodate social distancing during your visit. See you in the gallery!
