SUMMARY:View Carine Brown's Art at the BCA
DESCRIPTION:Carine Brown was born and raised in Singapore\, and moved to Illinois in 1997. Nature and color have always fascinated her\, and she uses watercolor as a medium in a slightly impressionistic fashion. Some of her pieces also include collage which gives a new dimension to her work. Her subject matter varies and includes landscapes\, people\, birds\, bamboos\, flowers and abstracts. Brown’s work is on view in the James Keefe gallery November 5-December 31 and is also available in the BCA Gift Shop.

Harlem Avenue\nMonmouth\, Illinois 61462 \nYou may wish to honor or remember friends or family with a donation of $5.00 per person or a larger gift of your choice. Names of those being honored and remembered\, along with the names of the donors will be recorded in the “Lights of Love” book\, located in the west lobby at OSF Holy Family Medical Center and here on our website. The “Lights of Love” Tree is lit on December 1 each year and remains lit through the month of December to honor our loved ones.

SUMMARY:BCA Community Arts Access Grants
DESCRIPTION:Buchanan Center for the Arts is accepting grant proposals from local arts and nonprofit educational organizations. Grant funds are designated to support artists and nonprofit arts and educational organizations in Warren County. All eligible grant proposals are reviewed by a four-member peer panel. Community Arts Access grants are available for visual\, musical\, performing\, literary\, and inter-disciplinary arts projects that provide community-based programming. Projects or programs must make a concerted effort to serve diverse and under-represented populations. Eligible projects are those taking place between October 16\, 2020 – August 31\, 2021. Grant applications are available at the Buchanan Center for the Arts (BCA)\, 64 Public Square\, Monmouth. Applications must be submitted to the BCA by Friday\, February 5\, 2021.
