Grant funds are designated to support artists and nonprofit arts and educational organizations in Warren County. All eligible grant proposals are reviewed by a four-member peer panel. Community Arts Access grants are available for visual\, musical\, performing\, literary\, and inter-disciplinary arts projects that provide community-based programming. Projects or programs must make a concerted effort to serve diverse and under-represented populations. Eligible projects are those taking place between October 16\, 2020 – August 31\, 2021. Grant applications are available at the Buchanan Center for the Arts (BCA)\, 64 Public Square\, Monmouth. Applications must be submitted to the BCA by Friday\, February 5\, 2021.

DESCRIPTION:Artist Residency Deadline:\n5pm Thursday\, April 1\, 2021\nApplication guidelines and submission details are available online at bcaarts.org “Special Events” tab. \nOverview: The Buchanan Center for the Arts seeks an artist for our Artist in Residence program in Monmouth\, Illinois. The residency will run from approximately May-August (or until the project is completed). This residency is an opportunity for the artist to engage with the community to create public art in the city’s downtown area. \nWe believe that art promotes social innovation\, makes valuable contributions to society\, and enriches our community. The selected artist(s) will have the opportunity to expand his/her own civic and social practice while creating a large scale mural. The goal of this residency is to infuse creativity and artistic perspectives into everyday life and to support artists who value community-building as part of their practice. \nSelection Process: A selection panel comprised of members from the Buchanan Center for the Arts board of directors and community arts partners will review all the applications. The selection panel will review all submitted applications by the deadline of 5pm Thursday\, April 1\, with a final decision expected by Friday\, April 16\, 2021.
