DESCRIPTION:The Senior Health Insurance Information Program (SHIIP) will present a Welcome to Medicare seminar Tuesday\, Sept. 20\, at Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center in West Burlington. The seminar will cover: \n\nMedicare Parts A and B benefits\nPrescription drug benefits (Part D)\nMedicare Advantage plans\nMedicare supplement insurance\n\nThe two-hour seminars will begin at 5 p.m. in the Oak Room on the lower level of the hospital\, 1221 S. Gear Ave. West Burlington. Registration by Monday\, Sept. 12\, is required. Call 319-768-3342. \nSHIIP is a free\, confidential service of the State of Iowa that provides unbiased information to help Iowans make decisions about Medicare and other health coverage. People should enroll in Medicare as soon as they turn 65. \nAppointments with volunteer SHIIP counselors are available at Southeast Iowa Medical Center in Fort Madison and West Burlington.
