DESCRIPTION:Students will leave the Monmouth College campus at 3 pm and walk around the Public Square\, up to Boston Avenue and down to 2nd Avenue on Main Street. All area businesses are encouraged to set up a table and hand out gifts\, information\, or coupons. Businesses off the route may set up near the courthouse or other downtown location. Approximately 300 students are expected to participate.

DESCRIPTION:State Representative Dan Swanson (R-Alpha) is partnering with the Knox\, Henry\, Rock Island\, McDonough\, Mercer and Warren-Henderson County Farm Bureaus® to host Farmland Assessment Meetings in four locations. All farmland owners\, farm managers and tax assessors are invited to attend\, residency in the host counties is not required. The presentations will be made by Brenda Matherly\, Director of Local Government Affairs with the Illinois Farm Bureau\, and will give attendees a better understanding on how farmland assessments are calculated and the long-term impact of those values.
