Knox County 4H First Lego League Robotics Team Robostorm Competes

As a result of their 3rdPlace Champions award finish at the Central IL First Lego League Championship in January at the University of Illinois, the Knox County 4H Robostorm team represented the state of IL at the Mountain State Invitation tournament at Fairmont State University in West Virginia. This 40 team Invitational tournament included teams from many of the states including teams as far away as California and New Mexico. Not only were there U.S. teams, but the tournament included 2 teams from Brazil, 2 teams from Canada and 1 from Uruguay. Many of teams were ranked among the top in their represented areas and had also won regional/state awards. The event was held for 3 days at a very nice facility (the Falcon Center) at Fairmont State University. The event had many sponsors including NASA, the West Virginia Governor’s STEM Initiative and a West Virginia FIRST Robotics Team MARS (high school level).
