A stellar freshman year has earned Monmouth’s Carley Turnbull (Mesa, Ariz./Mesa) All-Midwest Conference status in a vote of the league’s coaches.
Named to the second team, Turnbull led the Scots in four major statistical categories: points (278), scoring average (11.1), rebounds (136) and rebound average (5.4). She was second on the Scots with 53 assists, a 2.1 assists per game average and a .453 field goal percentage. The 5-foot-10 guard is the first Monmouth freshman to earn all-league honors since Mallory Mulvihill was an honorable mention selection in 2004.
