Galesburg Sports Keeping Busy
The athletic department at Galesburg is keeping busy.
Galesburg High School Athletic Director Jeff Flater stated that coach Mike Reynolds has turned the basketball program around, with the coach crossing the 200 win mark last week. Flater also said that Reynolds has worked great with the students, and that he seems to connect with the athletes.
“He’s an asset for the school and he connects with the people,” Flater said of Reynolds.
Flater also said that the All-Western Big Six Conference Team had two seniors from Galesburg make the team. Flater stated that this recognition was well deserved of the two women that made it.
The Galesburg track team is also getting started. Flater said that March 17 will have the indoor invitational at Monmouth College.
Flater also said that two Galesburg wrestlers made the All-Conference Team.
A sports booster meeting will take place March 7 at 6:30 p.m. Flater encourages people to attend these meetings with any ideas they may have.
