The Monmouth Area Chamber of Commerce held their 99th Annual Chamber Dinner last night. Each year, the organization hands out three awards: Large Business of the Year, Small Business of the Year, and Citizen of the Year. This year’s winners were the Warren County YMCA for Large Business of the Year; Robbins Resource Management for Small Business of the Year; and Carol McCrery was chosen as the Citizen of the Year. McCrery shared her sentiments on her award:

“I was overwhelmed. I was totally overwhelmed. It’s a great honor; not only for myself, but my family, my co-workers, and people that I work with every day. It was just something that was special for me and all of them,” she said.

McCrery is the 55th Citizen of the Year in the history of the award. She has assisted the elderly in the area for three decades, along with leading the Strom Center in providing a “home away from home” for local seniors.

Congratulations to Carol on this prestigious achievement!
