William Mozart Nicol, better known as The Great Nicola, was born in Burlington, but spent most of his life in Monmouth. The internationally renowned illusionist will be honored this Saturday at the Warren County History Museum with his own eponymous festival from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Danielle Morrison describes Nicola’s path to stardom:

“Their father – him and his brother – taught them magic. They realized that he was great at putting on a show; he was a showman. From early on, he would want to put on magic shows for people. He started just traveling the world doing magic shows,” she said.

The City of Monmouth proclaimed the week of Apr. 16th through Apr. 21st as The Great Nicola Magic Week at their City Council Meeting on Monday night.

The festival will feature numerous activities and events which include: magic shows & classes, local food vendors, a special Nicola Exhibit, and more!
