The 2nd Annual Riley Strong 5K Color Run is coming up August 25th. 500 runners participated last year and Michelle Thomas is hoping to register 700 this year. Runners will receive a swag bag and all proceeds from the event will be given to St. Jude’s. Thomas shares the course is the same as last year, but will include a surprise:

“The course last year, and its going to be the exact same. It went smooth last year. So we start at the Legion here in Monmouth, go down 11th street and around, sort of residential as well. My goal was to go by Riley’s grave. So there is a little surprise by Riley’s grave,” Thomas says.

Registration can be done online at rileystrongcolorrun.itsyourrace.com or can be found in Thomas’s mailbox at 417 E Gerard Ave in Monmouth. The race is $25 and the kids run is $15. To be guaranteed a t-shirt register by August 6th.

You may also register the morning of the event starting at 8:15am at the American Legion with the race starting at 9am.
