Friday October 19th is Power in Purple Day, which is to help raise awareness and help end the fight against cancer.
For the third annual challenge, area school administrators have taken a stand against cancer and will be supporting the American Cancer Society of Warren-Henderson Counties. The challenge is for each candidate to raise a minimum of $1,000 by October 31st.
This year’s six Power in Purple Ambassadors include:
Patrick Coate, the Principal of United West Elementary.
Kathy Lafary, the Principal at West Central Elementary.
Don Farr, the Principal at Monmouth-Roseville Jr. High.
Joe Pilger, the Principal of Lincoln Elementary.
Paula Markey, the Superintendent of West Central C.U.S.D. 235.
Chris Schwarz, the Principal of United Jr. High.
Power in Purple kicks off on October 1st. You still have plenty of time to donate, support, and celebrate. Make sure to help raise awareness by wearing purple October 19th.
