The Knox County Symphony will be presenting their first masterpiece for the 2018-2019 season. The masterpiece, “America the Beautiful”, can be heard on Saturday October 20th at 7:30 pm. Guest Conductor Christopher Stanichar shares more details on what those attending can expect:

“The first composer on the program is Aaron Copeland. We’re playing “An Outdoor Overture”, and it’s a fun piece. If you don’t know that piece, you probably know ” Fanfare for A Common Man”. The second piece that we are playing is Anthony Arnone’s Dvorak “Cello Concerto in B minor, op. 104”. And then there is this piece called “The Grand Canyon Suite”. Those attending will be treated to the amazing orchestra that will be accompanied by a slide show showing pictures of the Grand Canyon throughout the music,” reports Stanichar.

The masterpiece will be held at The Orpheum Theater, 57 South Kellogg Street in Galesburg.
Tickets can be purchased at the box office or online at http://kgsymphony.org.
