Bridgeway is teaming up with the Galesburg Police Department and Hy-Vee to bring the DEA National Drug Takeback to the area. Saturday April 27th, at Hy-Vee on East Main and National Boulevard, those with old, unused, or unwanted prescription drugs can dispose of them safely. Prevention Specialist at Bridgeway Jovanie Wallace has the details:

“Any kind of medicine. We try to stay away from needles, but we have had epi pens dropped off. We will take whatever. Clean out your medicine cabinets. Bring them in however you wish, we will sharpie out the addresses and names to keep that privacy. Just dump them off with us,” Wallace shares.

The drug takeback will begin at 9am and go until noon.

Those individuals bringing prescriptions to dispose of will be entered to win a $25 Hy-Vee gift card.
