Orval A. Chamber, 77, of Monmouth, Il formerly of San Lorenzo, CA passed away at 6:35 pm, Monday, June 24, 2019 at his home.

He was born January 18, 1942 in San Lois Obispo, CA, the son of Arnold and Vivian (Mathes) Johannesen. He was raised and educated in Hayward, CA, graduating from Hayward High School.

Orval married Cynthia Howells in Newark, CA on January 11, 1962.

Orval was a press mechanic at United Can Co in Hayward, CA for over 30 years before he retired.

He enjoyed bowling and coaching Little League for many years.  He was an avid S.F Giants and 49ers Fan.

Survivors include his daughter, Katherine (Jerry) Groves of Monmouth, IL; his grandson, Brian ( Angela) Chambers of Galesburg, IL; granddaughters, Lexi Groves of Monmouth and Vivian Chambers of Brentwood, CA; great grandchildren, Jace Chambers and Rowan Chambers of Galesburg; many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one son, Brett Chambers and one brother, William Chambers.
