Mrs. Nina L. Hanson, 92, of Galesburg, Illinois died Thursday, July 18, 2019 at Marigold Rehab and Health Care Center, Galesburg. 

She was born September 19, 1926 in Marietta, Illinois to Phillip Edward “Ed” and Laura (McDermet) Wells.  She married Alvin A. Hanson November 28, 1968 in Galesburg.  He preceded her in death September 10, 2000. 

Surviving is one brother, Frank Wells of Galesburg, two sisters, Nora Harding of Cameron, Illinois, and Verna (and Arthur, Sr.) Dinwiddie of Berwick, Illinois and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers and four sisters. 

Nina was a homemaker.  She was of the Protestant faith.  She enjoyed playing with children and loved animals. 

Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Galesburg.  . Rev. James Ecklund will officiate.  Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday, July 22, 2019 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Service Galesburg Chapel.  Memorials may be made to Marigold Nursing Home, Galesburg.  Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com
