Second Annual Improv Comedy Night Coming Soon

Share

The Monmouth-Roseville Titans Performing Arts Booster will be hosting their second annual Improv Comedy Night on Saturday, July 27 from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm at the Fusion Theater.

The show is inspired by the show “Whose Line is it Anyway?” a popular improve show that was created by Drew Carey in the early 2000s.

Monmouth-Roseville Chorus Director Kevin Ferry says improv is challenging, but rewarding.

“Sometimes it’s really hard because you have no idea what to do. What’s fun about is it is to try and relate to past experiences that you know and it really does challenge you as a performer to come up with this stuff. And you’re working with other people and you have no idea what they’re going to say.

Sometimes it’s hard to stay in character and go without laughing ourselves. It’s a lot of fun, we had a decent crowd last year and hopefully it grows like anything else that continues to have a run.”

The show will include pre-selected topics, as well as recommendations from the audience.
