Monmouth-Roseville High School Showcases New Musical

The Monmouth-Roseville High School is hosting the ‘Back to the 80s’ musical this week.

The Show will be held on Friday night at 7pm and a Saturday matinee will be held at 1pm at the Monmouth-Roseville High School auditorium.

Artists such as Madonna, Bon Jovi, and Starship will be covered, along with a wide variety of 80s pop and rock groups, with over 17 separate songs over the course of the show, and every cast member is guaranteed a singing part.

Julie Agar, 21st Century Community Learning Coordinator, stated that it is the first show revival that the program has done, with the last showing having been held in the summer of 2014.

When asked about their favorite ‘behind the scenes’ moment while putting the show together, Junior Carlos Alcala, had this to say…

“So one day we had rehearsal, and I had to get there right after work, so I showed up in my work uniform, and we had to do this scene where the girls and guys are all talking about having to work, and we’re over here complaining about how much we have to work while I’m still completely dressed up in my work uniform.”

For more information, visit the Monmouth-Roseville Performing Arts Facebook page.

The show is free to the public.
