Danielle B. Cox, Warren County Treasurer, is pleased to announce that the Treasurer’s Office will now be accepting real estate tax PREPAYMENTS for the first time for the 2024 pay 2025 tax year starting January 27, 2025. Cox states, “I have a great office team and because of that we can now provide this service. Protocols and changes within an office take teamwork and I’m grateful for my team to help make this positive change happen. Per Illinois State Statute there’s very few protocols I can change when it’s tax related, but one thing I can do is extend the timeline on when you can pay your property taxes (conditions apply). One of my goals was to provide prepayments for Warren County to extend the payment timeline for the citizens. I encourage everyone to check out this new service offered as it will be beneficial to the citizens of Warren County.”
Please be advised of the following conditions for prepayment of 2024 property taxes:
- Payments will be accepted starting January 27th, 2025 through May 31st, 2025 or once tax bills are created and mailed whichever comes first. Start dates for prepayments each year will vary.
- Prepayments must be accompanied by a mandatory form from our office and signed.
- Prepayment must be made by check, money order (Payable to Warren County Collector) or cash at our office.
- All prepayments have a minimum amount of $50.00.
