Monthly Diabetes Support Group Coming to OSF August 26

Share

OSF Holy Family Medical Center in Monmouth is hosting its monthly Diabetes Support Group Monday, August 26 at five pm in the Wellness Classroom at OSF.

The support group is free and no registration is required. An optional meal of soup, salad, and dessert will be served for five dollars.

Tina Canada, Diabetes Education Specialist at OSF, tells us what the topic of the support group is.

“This month we’re talking about monitoring for the best results. So, I’m going to talk about how you might monitor other than one single time during the day and get more information that would be helpful in managing your diabetes.

I’m also going to talk about how to use a continuous glucose monitor to use it more than just an alternative to a finger stick.”

For more information, call Canada at (309) 734-1424.
