Severe storms blew through the listening area this morning, with wind speeds averaging at 50 mph, with areas like Burlington and Mt Pleasant experiencing winds up to 70 mph.

The storms reached eastern Iowa and Western Illinois around 8 am this morning, yielding .23 inches of rain, with predicted rainfall to reach up to .50 inches in some areas.

Damages include several downed powerlines in Monmouth, as well 1600 outages in the wider listening area.
