Rebecca J. “Becky” Boughton, age 76, of Oquawka, Illinois, passed away
at 3:16 PM on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 at the Great River Hospice
House in West Burlington, Iowa. She was born on June 26, 1943 in
Hillsboro, Illinois, the daughter of Robert J. and Maggie Marie
(Higgins) Moore. Becky attended Monmouth High School and was a graduate
of Union High School. On December 19, 1964, she married Melvin Boughton,
Jr. at the Rozetta Baptist Church in Rozetta and he is surviving.

After graduating from high school, Becky began a 38 year career at J.I.
Case in Burlington, Iowa, where she was a payroll supervisor. Becky
loved camping, boating, and riding motorcycles. She and Mel traveled the
county and enjoyed many adventures together. Becky mostly loved her family.

Becky is survived by her husband Mel of Oquawka, Illinois, one
sister-in-law; Shirley Brown of Theodosia, Missouri, two
brothers-in-law; Robert Boughton of Belton, Missouri and Joseph Boughton
of Oquawka, Illinois. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews,
great-nieces, and great-nephews; Ann (Jim) Davis of Oquawka, Illinois,
Joey (Karen) Boughton of Oquawka, Illinois, Becky Mueller of Oquawka,
Illinois, Misty (Rodney) Rodriquez of Minot, North Dakota, Dea (Allen)
Bates of Burlington, Iowa, Amanda Grace of Monmouth, Illinois, and
Cathleen (Jeff) Karr of Belton, Missouri. Becky is preceded in death by
her parents, grand-parents, and two brothers.

A funeral service for Becky Boughton will be at 11:00 AM on Monday,
September 16, 2019 at Turnbull Funeral Home in Oquawka, Illinois. Her
family plans visitation from 5:00-7:00 PM on Sunday, September 15, 2019
at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Oquawka Cemetery. A
memorial fund is being established for the Great River Hospice House in
