Here’s the WMOI/WRAM Athletes of the Week for the week ending Sept. 8, 2019:

The Monmouth-Roseville Titan Athlete of the Week is sophomore swimmer, Cally Tate. Cally was 2nd in the 200 IM and the 100 yard backstroke at the recently completed Macomb Bomber Invitational. She also placed 1st in the 100 backstroke in a meet against much bigger schools earlier this season.

The United Red Storm Athlete of the Week is sophomore volleyball player, Josie Bentz. Josie helped her team capture 2nd place in the Williamsfield Invitational at Carl Sandburg College. Along the way, she also earned herself the tournament MVP trophy for her play at the net, her hustle on the court and her serving abilities.

The West Central Heat Athlete of the Week is junior football player, Max Carnes. Max used his legs and his arm to propel the Heat to a non-conference win over South Fulton. He ran for 86 yards and 3 touchdowns on the ground and also threw for another 142 yards from the quarterback postion in the ballgame.

The A-Town Tornado Athlete of the Week is senior soccer player, Myles Shreeves. Myles scored two goals in the Tornadoes first-ever program history win. He also scored the first goal ever in program history in a loss to Byron.

The Galesburg Silver Streak Athlete of the Week is senior swimmer, Hailey Glasnovich. Hailey was a triple winner at the recently completed Macomb Invitational. She touched the wall first in the 100 yard freestyle and 100 yard backstroke events. Hailey was also a part of the winning 200 yard freestyle relay team.
