The 3 and 2 West Central Heat Football team are preparing to take on the 2 and 3 Mercer County Golden Eagles this Friday night after a loss to Stark County. The magnitude of this game is high and Head Coach Jason Kirby says the boys have been preparing hard:
“Our kids have done a great job all week. They are watching film up to this point, being able to recognize some things that Mercer County does and how we are going to try and take advantage of. It ought to be a great contest. It’s their homecoming, and there will be a huge crowd. There’re backs are against the wall with their remaining schedule so they will probably be amped up, and typically that town gets amped up in those situations. So it should be a great electric environment for our kids to play in,” Kirby states.
The Heat travel to Aledo this Friday night to take on the Golden Eagles, seeking to get another win closer to being playoff eligible.
