Norma Kitchin, 93, of Monmouth, IL, passed away at 5:05 pm, Thursday, October 17, 2019 at Courtyard Estates in Bushnell, IL.

Norma was born October 10, 1926 in rural McDonough County, IL, the daughter of Everett and Elizabeth (Heaton) Sowers.  She was raised and educated in Macomb later graduating from Macomb High School in 1945. 

Norma married Glenn C. “Kitch” Kitchin in Nashua, IA on August 4, 1947 and he died February 1, 2011.

Norma owned and operated Kitch’s Locker with her husband in Monmouth.  She enjoyed making pies, gardening and catering.  Norma and her husband liked going antiquing.  She was a former member of the Monmouth Country Club and the Elks club   

Survivors include her son, Gary (Jeri) Kitchin of Monmouth; grandchildren Corey (Tammi) Kitchin of Monmouth and April Kitchin of Nashville, TN; four step grandchildren, Lindsey (Brent) Titus of Alexis, IL, Ryan (Cori) Malone of Mackinaw, IL, Natalie Malone of Alexis, IL, Grant Malone of Little York, IL; one step great grandson, Trace Titus; and one sister, Virginia Juros of Holland, MI. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and grandson, Eric Kitchin. Graveside services will be 10:00 am, Saturday, October 26, 2019 at Warren County Memorial Park in Monmouth, Il. Cremation has been accorded.
