Scots’ Gordon Nets League Soccer Honors

MONMOUTH, IL (09/30/2019) Monmouth’s Kara-Jade Gordon (Nashville, Tenn./University School) has helped the Fighting Scots to their best start in program history en route to earning this week’s Midwest Conference Women’s Soccer Offensive Performer of the Week award.

Gordon netted five goals in three games last week as Monmouth continued their best start in program history, improving to 8-1-1 on the season. Gordon scored the first of her two goals in the fourth minute of last Tuesday’s 6-0 blanking of Principia, placing two of her three shots on goal. The senior forward scored both goals in Saturday’s 2-0 win at St. Norbert in the league opener, and followed with a goal and two assists in Sunday’s 5-0 victory at Beloit. For the week, Gordon scored five goals with two assists and put more than half her shots on goal.
