Colors of Cancer Fundraiser With Local Ambassadors

Share

The American Cancer Society is putting on a Colors of Cancer fundraiser in Warren and Henderson Counties with four Ambassadors raising money during the entire month of November. Senior Community Manager Stacey Dutton states this event was revamped from the Power in Purple:

“We just wanted to refresh some things and include all types of cancer, give our ambassadors a chance to raise awareness about any type of cancer they are passionate about. It reflects to colors of cancer ribbons, but the American Cancer Society at the same time is doing research and funding for all types of cancer and treatments as well. This is a great one month fundraiser, same as Power in Purple, we started on November 1st and will end November 30th. Last year we had great success with our principals and administrators and we are doing that again this year,” Dutton shares.

The four Ambassadors raising money and awareness include Monmouth-Roseville High School Principal Jeff Ewing, West Central Elementary Assistant Principal Andrea Frieden, Monmouth-Roseville Central Intermediate Principal Becky Hutton, and 5th Grade teacher at West Central Cathie Smith.
