Jesse W. Porter, 43 of Monmouth, IL, passed away at 12:40 a.m., Sunday, November 17, 2019 at his home.
He was born on July 19, 1976 in Monmouth, IL, the son of Dan L. and Sondra K. (Payne) Porter. Jesse was raised and educated in the Monmouth area and graduated from Yorkwood High School in 1994.
He married Babbie Louck in Las Vegas, NV in March of 2000.
Jesse worked at Cole Implement in Media, IL for several years doing machine maintenance. He most recently worked at Cloverleaf in Monmouth as a maintenance supervisor. He also co-owned and operated Schoolhouse Pizza in Kirkwood, IL from 2008-2011. Jessie liked fishing and working on cars. He enjoyed writing poetry and working on computers.
Surviving Jesse are his parents, Dan & Sondra Porter of Monmouth, IL; his children, Halee Porter, Payne Porter, Caleb Porter, Daniel Porter, and Blaine Swensen; three sisters, Sarah (Marty) Wilson, Hannah Porter, and Josie Roden-Lair, all of Monmouth, IL; several aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive.
He was preceded in death by his son, James D. Porter and nephew, Fox Roden
Cremation rites have been accorded. A private family service will be held at a later date. Memorials can be made to an education fund for his children.
