Search Warrant Results in Two Arrests

On Sunday, November 3, 2019, the Galesburg Police Department obtained and executed a search warrant for the unattached garage located at 481 N Cedar St. Galesburg, IL.  The Galesburg Special Response Team executed the search warrant on the unattached garage at 481 N Cedar St. Galesburg, IL at approximately 6:20 a.m. on Sunday, November 3, 2019.

During the search of the unattached garage, Galesburg Police Department located crystal methamphetamine, heroin, firearms/ammunition, weapons, and stolen items.  The exterior of the garage contained several surveillance cameras protecting the exterior of the garage with the cameras connected to televisions on the inside of the garage.

The following subjects were arrested on the listed charges and they both remain in the Knox County Jail awaiting an initial court appearance.

Gilbert D. Bicknell – M/W – DOB: 10/22/1968 – 481 N Cedar St. Galesburg, IL

·         Criminal Fortification of Residence/Building

·         Felon in possession / Use of Weapon / Firearm

·         Meth Delivery / Intent to Deliver 5-15 grams

·         Meth possession 5-15 grams

·         Manufacturing / Delivery Heroin < 1 gram

·         Theft / unauthorized Control of stolen property < $500

·         Possession drug paraphernalia

·         Knox County warrant #19-CF-503 with a bond amount of $75,000/10% applies

Jay A. Murdock – M/W – DOB: 05/12/1975 – 475 N Cedar St. Galesburg, IL

·         Obstructing Justice – Felony

·         Mercer County warrant #18-CM-16 with a bond amount of $3,000/10% applies

·         Knox County warrant #17-TR-0956 with a bond amount of $3,500/10% applies
