The Knox County Area Partnership along with the Galesburg Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a Reconnect event on Wednesday, November 27th at Bar 65 in Galesburg. KCAP President Ken Springer states the purpose is to share data with those that have moved away:

“The idea behind Reconnect is we want to get all of the professionals that are returning to our area for the Thanksgiving holiday in a room and give them space where they can talk to each other and see and hear a little about some of the cool things that have been happening in our region since these folks moved away,” Springer shares.

The free event will begin at 5:30 pm and is open to anyone.

KCAP will also be hosting a workshop for aspiring entrepreneurs on Wednesday, December 4th at the Knox County Brewing Company from 6 to 8 pm. Springer has the details:

“We are going to have a couple of entrepreneurs talking about the experience of being a woman or immigrant owned entrepreneur. Also, we are going to have an expert coming and talking about international product development. If you at all are thinking about starting a business or you know somebody that is, this is a great workshop and a chance to come ask some questions and network with other entrepreneurs,” states Springer.

The event is free and open to the public.
