Illinois Representative Calling for Ethics Reform in the Assembly

New controversies in in the Illinois State Legislature has State Representative Randy Frese calling for ethics reform in the General Assembly.

Two congresspeople, one a state representative and the other a state senator, have resigned, and several state senators are under investigation or have been indicted.

Frese says ethics are a bipartisan issue:

“It’s an evil that we have to seek out and root out and separate from our body. This isn’t a Republican-Democrat or Liberal-Conservative thing, this is good versus evil.”

Norine Hammond, State Representative for the 93rd district, says corruption, “undermines our process and what we need to be doing”.
