The West Central Heat Athlete of the Week is senior girls basketball player, Carley Lafary. Carley was a beast around the rim last week in her team’s run to a ROWVA/Williamsfield Cranberry Classic championship. She averaged over 20 points a game in the Heat’s three wins. The Galesburg Silver Streak Athlete of the Week is senior girls basketball player, Kaylee Miller. Kaylee hit shot after shot from behind the 3-point line last week on her way to a scoring average of over 10 points as the Streaks took two of their first three games in the Galesburg Thanksgiving Tournament. Most of those points came from the seven, 3-pointers she made.
