Arrest Made in Burlington Check Forgery Investigation

Over the past several weeks the Burlington Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division has been conducting an investigation into numerous check forgeries in the Burlington and West Burlington area.  On Thursday January 16th, 2020 the Burlington Police Department, along with the West Burlington Police Department and the Des Moines County Sheriff’s office conducted a search warrant on a residence in West Burlington.  During the execution of the search warrant, officers located and arrested Kathy Dawn Conard, age 33 of West Burlington, on numerous felony Des Moines County Warrants for Forgery. 

Arrested: Kathy Dawn Conard
Age: 33
Address: West Burlington, Iowa
Charge: 7 Des Moines County Warrants for felony forgery / counterfeiting.
Bond: $30,000.00

This investigation is ongoing and additional arrests are expected.  All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
