CSC Men Ride 27-0 Run in 2nd Half to Blow Out Red Devils

The Carl Sandburg College men’s basketball team rattled off a huge second-half run to blow out Eureka JV 84-49 on Monday at John M. Lewis Gymnasium. A three-point play got the Red Devils within 37-32 with 17:22 to go in the game before the Chargers erupted for a 27-0 run over the next 7 minutes to put the game away. Sophomore Noah Young was one of four Chargers in double figures, tying for the team lead with Freshman Vaughn Toyne with 13 points. Young also had five rebounds, two assists and a steal. Up next for Sandburg, who improved to (14-4) with the win, is a 7:30 p.m. Thursday night date against Highland in the Chargers’ Arrowhead Conference opener.
