M-R Develops ‘Express Yourself’ Program at Harding

Share

Harding Primary School in Monmouth has developed an after-school program that is funded through the Monmouth-Roseville Education Foundation.  The program is called Express Yourself and Principal Katy Morrison explains the need for the program:

“It is just something in education that we really just have seen the need. I think the need has always been there, but I would say even as an educator, I’ve noticed more over the last five years. Helping kids understand and giving them coping techniques to be able to handle certain situations, to control their emotions, and how to act appropriately when certain situations, traumas, or things arise in their lives,” Morrison shares.

The program features guests who have introduced music, yoga and other activities that benefit students at the Primary school.
