Marshall Allen Chandler, 75, of Estero, Florida, formally of Berwick, IL passed away Wednesday, February 19, 2020 in Estero, FL.  Marshall was born Sunday, December 17, 1944, in Monmouth, IL.  He was the second son of Loren William and Marie Jane (Brownlee) Chandler.  He was raised on the family farm in Smithshire, where he attended school until the sixth grade; eventually moving with the family to Berwick, where he attended Avon and graduated Avon High School in 1962.  After high school he attended Browns Business College in Galesburg.  He realized fairly quickly how much he wanted to be back on the family farm and found himself back there in 1964.  Marshall married Brenda Steele at the Monmouth Methodist Church on July 25, 1965.

From the time he was a small boy, Marshall couldn’t get enough of the farm life and cherished being a lifelong farmer.  He was very fortunate to be leaning this legacy to the family.  Besides his love for farming he also enjoyed tractor pulling, telling many stories of family and friends growing up, and he loved teasing the grandkids.

Marshall was a part of the Bald Bluff Antique Tractor Pulling Association, the maple City Antique Tractor Association, The Warren County Farm Bureau and also the Big River Resources COOP and CLC.

Marshall is survived by his wife Brenda; two sons, Courtney (Ann) Chandler of Cameron, and Stacy Chandler of Avon; his grandchildren, Augusta (Lance) Holtzclaw, Shelby Chandler, Wyatt Chandler, Ashton Chandler, and Morgan Chandler; his brothers, Richard (Milli) Chandler of Monmouth, Dennis (Connie) Chandler of Berwick, and Jim (Terri) Chandler of Monmouth; as well as nieces and a nephew.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Loren and Marie Chandler.
