Steinbrecher Talks Coronavirus

Beginning at 9 pm tonight, March 16, 2020, all restaurants and bars in Illinois are closed through the end of the month for dine-in services. Delivery, take out, and curbside services are still available. Monmouth City Administrator Lew Steinbrecher advises the community to carry on and allow the city to assist:

“The situation has evolved so quickly and these orders have gone into effect over the weekend that we have not had time to deal with what the ramifications are going to be. I would ask everyone to be patient. I think there are many agencies here in Warren County and employers that are all concerned and that we will work together to try and make those services available to respond to the needs that are going to be created as a result of some of these restrictions that are being put in place,” Steinbrecher states.

The Monmouth City Hall will be closed to public foot traffic until Monday, March 30th. Employees will still be available by telephone and email.
