Eleven negative tests and twi pending in Warren County has been reported by the Warren County Health Department Administrator Jenna Link on Monday, April 6th. With the extension of Governor Pritzker’s Stay at Home order through the end of April, Link advises it is important to follow in helping to prevent more potential cases:

“If we do nothing and don’t follow these guidelines, this is really what we could be looking at. They are just really trying to drive home that point that these measures will work. They will help. They will flatten that curve and hopefully we don’t see those kinds of numbers,” Link states.

Link shares all healthcare providers in Warren County are ready and aware in the event of a positive test, but the county is very short in personal protective gear:

“We are still really, really short for personal protective equipment in our county for all of our agencies that are going to be responding, from first responders and EMS, to our long term care facilities. We have been receiving some supplies from the state over the last couple of weeks. Some of it is a little more useful than others, but we are still far short of what we would need if we really needed to respond to a potential case,” Link says.

Link encourages everyone to remain vigilant, be determined, keep your family and yourself safe, and minimize contact by staying home when possible.
