Alex Tanney Eager To Get Back To Work With The New York Giants

Share

Former Monmouth College football record-setting quarterback, Alex Tanney recently had his 2020 option picked up by the New York Giants. Tanney signed a 2 year, $1,825,000 contract with the New York Giants last season. Should he make the team following training camp this fall, Tanney will earn a base salary of $950,000 for this season. Tanney will be in the mix to serve as Daniel Jones’ backup on game days. He’ll be working with a familiar face in the Giant’s new offensive coordinator, Jason Garret. Garrett was signed by the Giants after he was fired as the Dallas Cowboy’s head coach in January. Tanney spent time with Garrett in 2013 as a member of the Cowboys and is excited to get the chance to work with him again. Tanney has held a benefit youth camp and golf outing in Monmouth for the past 2 summers and plans are under way for the 3rd annual Tackle MS with Alex Tanney event. The event raises money for multiple sclerosis research. With the current Stay at Home order in force, those plans are tentative as of right now.
