Diane L. Neal, 79, of Monmouth, IL, passed away at 1:49 p.m., Wednesday, April 1, 2020 at the Richard L. Owens Hospice Home, Peoria, IL. 

She was born on May 20, 1940 in Canton, IL, the daughter of Clinton and Norma (Dahl) Reith.  Diane was raised and educated in Canton, IL till her sophomore year of high school, she graduated from Monmouth High School in 1958.   

She married Frank Neal on August 18, 1990 in Monmouth, IL; he survives.   

Diane worked for GTE & Verizon for 32 years, she worked as a telephone operator and later in sales/service and maintenance/installation.  She enjoyed shopping, gardening, eating out, and most of all, spending time with her family.   

Surviving Diane is her husband, Frank Neal of Monmouth, IL; her children, Kurk (Valarie) Gaskill of Monmouth, IL, Krista (Brad) Larson of Glen Carbon, IL; step daughter, Michelle (Wayne) Brokate of Paxton, IL; her grandchildren, Kalvin Gaskill of Bloomington, IL, Dalton (Rachel Flores) Gaskill of Bloomington, IL, Clayton Larson of St. Louis, MO, Chloe (Trent Rains) Larson of San Antonio, TX; step grandchildren, Haley, Lucas, and Breanne Brokate of Paxton, IL.  Also surviving is her brother, Neil Reith; sister, Linda Davis; several nieces and nephews.   

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Brad Wolfe; and brother, Ronnie Reith.

A private graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 4, 2020 at Monmouth Cemetery, Monmouth, IL.  Memorials can be made to Western Illinois Animal Rescue (WIAR).  McGuire & Davies Funeral Home and Crematory, Monmouth, IL, is in charge of the arrangements.  For more information or to leave an online condolence please visit, www.mcguireanddaviesfuneralhome.com.
