Former Monmouth-Roseville Titan Drew Cole Receives “30 Under 30” Honor from WBCA

Former Monmouth-Roseville High School 3-sport standout and 2016 graduate and football player at Aurora University, Drew Cole is currently an assistant women’s basketball coach at Division I Abilene Christian University in Texas. Cole just ended his second season at ACU…..rather abruptly. The Wildcat women had just completed a (24-5) regular season and were actually at the Southland Conference Tournament with the opening round games ready to tip-off when word came from the NCAA that the rest of the season was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. That prevented ACU from a potential back-to-back Southland Conference tournament championship. In Cole’s first year with the Wildcat women’s program in 2018-19, the team qualified for the NCAA Division I women’s national basketball tournament for the first time in program history. In March, Cole was honored with being on the Women’s Basketball Coaches Association 30 under 30 list. The WBCA Thirty Under 30 program recognizes 30 up-and-coming women’s basketball coaches age 30 and under at all levels of the game. Cole said he owes it all to the coaching staff that he works with on a daily basis, notably Wildcat women’s head coach, Julie Goodenough.
