The United Red Storm baseball team is gearing up for a big weekend series as we wind down the spring baseball regular season. Sitting at 14-7 overall, and 4-2 in the Lincoln Trail Conference, the Red Storm are currently locked in a tie for 2nd place in the LTC West Division. Mercer County at 6-2 is at the top of the division, while both United and Abingdon-Avon sit at 4-2 and second place. While the Golden Eagles have the weekend off from baseball, A-Town and United are in action as they both try to catch up with MerCo. Abingdon-Avon is at home for a doubleheader against the West Central Heat on Saturday, while the Red Storm will face off at home against Knoxville both tonight and tomorrow.

As United looks to make at tie for first place in the west division with Mercer County and potentially Abingdon-Avon, Red Storm head coach Ryan Molek says his team will try to take care of business, and stay focused on completing one of their goals for the 2024 season.

After this weekend’s series with Knoxville, United is scheduled to close out the season with 4 games next week before hosting postseason play in the Class 1A United regional.
