Love’s Travel Stop Construction Under Way in Monmouth

  • Zoning is taking additional safety measures due to the COVID-19 pandemic. All meetings are by appointment only and are permit payments are handled through the water department dropbox
  • Arby’s new location at 1125 North Main Street is ahead of schedule, and they have begun interior work
  • The Strom Center’s roof has been completed. Tuckpointing of the façade and repair of the parapet wall is currently underway
  • Love’s Travel Stop has pulled the necessary permits and will be pouring footings for the new building this week
  • Harris United has begun earthwork at the new Love’s Travel Stop last month. During the soil excavation, the city was able to obtain approximately 60 tons of black dirt at no charge that will be used for cemetery and boulevard repairs
  • Street crews have been focusing on pothole patching. Due to COVID-19 social distancing precautions, only one person is patching per truck
  • The seasonal mowing crew is set to start on April 20th
