Mrs. Angela Kay Myler, 65, passed away peacefully at 9:59 p.m. Saturday, May 2, 2020, at home surrounded by family. She was born March 7, 1955 in Galesburg, Illinois to Dale and Barbara (Thulin) Humphrey. She married Harold “Buddy” Myler on January 20, 2001 in Galesburg.
Angela graduated from Galesburg High School in 1973. She was a teller and later worked in the proofing department at F&M Bank in Galesburg. She worked in payroll for County Market Grocery Store in Monmouth. She later was the payroll clerk for the Knox County Treasurer’s office for 12 years and retired February of 2019. Angela loved to spend time with her family and friends, laughing and always wearing a smile on her face. She loved going to Gulf Shores and spending time on the beach with her husband and friends, Deb and Doug. She was a loving and caring person, devoted wife, mother, and friend. Her compassion, kindness, and love outshined all others.
She is pre-deceased in death by her parents, Dale and Barbara Humphrey, and brother-in-law, Bill Anderson.
She is survived by her husband, Buddy Myler; her sisters, Stacey (Chad) Hascall and Mary Anderson; her four children, Tisha Harmon, Tiera Stone, Chad Myler and Cory (Leslie) Myler; and ten grandchildren, Jordan, Ty, Ryan, Chloe, Cameron, Calleigh, Donivan, Logan, and Monroe.
Cremation rites will be accorded. Due to social distancing limitations related to the COVID-19 pandemic, a visitation and memorial service will be announced at a later date. Memorials in Angela’s name may be made to the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation or to the Illinois Cancer Care in Galesburg.
