Lawrence A. Worley, age 73, of Carman, Illinois, passed away Tuesday May 12, 2020 at his home.  He was born June 25, 1947 in LaHarpe, Illinois, the son of Albert Levi and Goldie Valentine Hoskins Worley.  On September 27, 1966, he married Lela Huss.

Mr. Worley lived in the Lomax and Carman areas all of his life.  He had worked at Admiral Corporation, Fullerton Lumber Company and Standard Of Beaverdale for several years. Most recently, he was employed at George’s Lawnmower and Repair.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, small engine repair, and woodworking. 

Survivors include his wife, Lela, four daughters, Leora (Steve) Magner of Media, IL, Lorraine (Kirby) Benjamin of Stronghurst, IL, Leanne (Dwayne) Forquer and Lucy (J.R.) Baughman, both of Carman, eleven grandchildren, Sebeth Magner, Cody Magner, Tyler Worley, Kristen Benjamin, Trapper Benjamin, Daniel Worley, Nicklas Leazer, Chip Worley, Trisha Forquer, Jarid Baughman, and Jayden Baughman, two great grandchildren, Aiden Worley and Ryker Havens, and one brother, George Worley of Lomax, IL.  He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Bill Worley and one sister, Flora Bloom.

Due to the current restrictions involving the COVID-19 pandemic, a private family graveside service will be held Saturday May 16, 2020 in the Carman Cemetery, with Rev. Kendall Hetrick officiating.  There will be no visitation.  A memorial fund has been established for the American Cancer Society.  Memorials may be sent to Banks & Beals Funeral Home, P.O.
