Lorrie L. Gibbons, age 52, of Knoxville, Illinois, died at 5:23 A.M. on Thursday, May 14, 2020 at her home in Knoxville.

She was born on March 8, 1968 in Galesburg, Illinois, the daughter of Thomas and Dorie (Huber) Seabloom.  Lorrie grew up in the Knoxville area, making many wonderful memories and lifelong friendships.  She attended and graduated from Knoxville Senior High School with the class of 1986.  Lorrie was married to Sean Wilson.  She later married William Gibbons on June 12, 1998 in Knoxville.

Left to cherish Lorrie’s memory are her loving husband of twenty-two years, William Gibbons of Knoxville; four children: Zach Shaw of Knoxville, Kylie Wilson of Knoxville; two step-children: Kalynn Gibbons of Orion, Illinois, Cassie (and Jake) Cozad of Oneida, Illinois; one granddaughter, Harper Shaw; her father, Thomas Seabloom of Knoxville; and one sister, Tonley Seabloom of Knoxville.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorie Seabloom; and one sister, Julie Waggoner.

She worked as a receptionist at the Knox County Nursing Home in Knoxville for many years and greatly enjoyed interacting with the residents and other staff.  Lorrie loved spending time with her family and friends, and especially the time she was able to spend with her granddaughter, Harper, who was the absolute light of her life.  She will be lovingly remembered as a kind, dedicated, and caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend; she will be forever missed.

Cremation rites will be accorded, as per her wishes.  There will be no services at this time.  Memorial contributions may be made to the family, care of Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Home & Crematory, 120 South Public Square, Knoxville, Illinois 61448.  On-line condolences and expressions of sympathy may be made through www.hurd-hendricksfuneralhome.com.
