Susan I. Wilson, 72, of Galesburg, passed away at 10 a.m. Monday, June 8, 2020, at home surrounded by loved ones.

She was born July 18, 1947, in Davenport, Iowa, the daughter of Dean and Phyliss (Myers) Kimball.  She married Micheal Wilson.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Mike; her mother, Phyliss Haneghan of Galesburg; two sons, Douglas Wilson and Dave (Lisa) Wilson, both of Galesburg; five grandchildren, Micheal, Christopher, Miranda, Mason, and Abby; and three great grandchildren, Paislee, Gabby, and Macy.  She was preceded in death by her father and a granddaughter, Samantha.

Susan was a self-taught seamstress.  She enjoyed sewing clothing, doll clothes, and pageant gowns.  She was an accomplished baker and was known to make birthday cakes for all of her family.  Susan also enjoyed camping with her family, crafting, and cooking.  She also operated an in-home day care for over 20 years.

Visitation will be 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 11, 2020 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West Funeral Directors and Cremation Services Galesburg Chapel. Due to social distancing limitations related to the COVID-19 pandemic, visitors will be limited to 10 at a time and face masks will be required.  Cremation will be accorded following the visitation with private family burial in Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens.  Memorial contributions may be made to First Church of the Open Bible.  Online condolences may be made at www.h-p-w.com.
